1. Don’t let money control your life

1 # You don’t need anything to follow Jesus

# 2 God does not think in billiards and coins
The Lord says to his people: ‘Come on! Get over here. Because I have water for everyone, who is thirsty. Even if you have no money, you can buy food from me. You can get milk and wine here, and you don’t have to pay anything for it! ” – Isaiah 55: 1
# 3 Giving makes you happier than receiving
I have always shown you that you have to work hard. Because then you can take care of people who need help. Remember what the Lord Jesus said: “You will be happier in giving than in receiving.” – Acts 20:35
# 4 Don’t try to get rich on earth
You must not try to become rich on earth. Because earthly wealth will disappear. It is rotten or stolen by thieves. No, make sure you get rich in heaven. Because heavenly wealth never disappears. It cannot rot or be stolen. Let the heavenly riches be the most important thing for you. – Matthew 6:19
# 5 Money is not the most important thing
A woman came to Jesus during dinner. She brought a bottle with costly oil. And she poured that oil over Jesus’ head. The students saw it and became angry. They shouted: ‘Sin of the oil! We could have sold that oil for a lot of money. Then we could have given that money to poor people! ” Jesus heard what the disciples said to the woman. He said: ‘Don’t be so angry with her. She has done something good for me. Poor people will always be there, but I will not always be with you. ” – Matthew 26: 7-11
# 6 Be generous
If someone wants something from you, give it to him. If someone wants to borrow money from you, don’t say no. ” – Matthew 5:42
# 7 Little money is worth more than a lot of money
Jesus sat down in the temple by the money box. He watched people put money in the box. Many rich people gave a lot of money. A poor widow also came. She put two coins in the cash box. They were worth almost nothing. Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said: “Listen carefully to my words: That poor woman gave most of all. Because the others gave part of the money that they had left. But that woman gave money that she couldn’t miss. She gave all the money she had, everything she had to live on. ” – Mark 12:41
# 8 Working hard is not everything
Hard work alone does not make you rich; you need the Lord’s blessing. – Proverbs 10:22
# 9 Wanting more money is useless
Whoever wants to be rich never has enough. Whoever has a lot wants more and more. Even though that is all useless. – Ecclesiastes 5: 9
# 10 To follow Jesus, you must be willing to give up everything. Would you do that?
The man said: “I follow all the rules. What else can I do? ” Jesus said to him: “If you want to be perfect, go home.” Sell everything you have and give the money to the poor. Then you will receive a big reward in heaven. When you’ve given everything away, come back and come with me. ” – Matthew 19: 20-21
